Eros / Thanatos

Representative of the two instinctual drives present in human nature, Eros and Thanatos are often interpreted as the opposing forces of life and death, or creation and destruction. Though they seem contradictory, these two immortal adversaries are concurrent in all our choices - across all levels of consciousness.
